Woken up at 8 AM by loud music from the block opposite. Called the Noise Team, who concluded it was not a statutory nuisance. They popped round to the offending premises anyway. Peace and quiet was restored. Good on the Noise Team.
At around 11 AM two bull terrier type dogs set on an old long haired retriever. The owner of the bull terriers did nothing, leaving the owner of the retriever to fight off the attacking dogs. The whole brood then came out effing and blinding outside other people's ground floor flats.
What will the rest of the day hold? The usual pattern is for children to roam like dogs, shouting and screaming, and undertaking acts of petty vandalism. Night time is for domestic disputes with shouting and swearing, clandestine gathering of youths in archways, where they drink, take drugs and re-enact violent episodes from the preceding evening ... in short another night in the zoo.

It's a shame you didn't keep this up - it was a really good start. But I know how time-consuming a blog can be.
